I go to Roy's too. Usually work with Gerald. SB8 up front and TT in rear makes sense for street and dj. The race was at highbridge that combined all five sections - jumps, dh, road climb, super-d, and xc. dont race much - just every now and again - used to do more xc races in wisconsin, where im from.

If its muddy, the small blocks can get a little sketchy - though if you get them in the 2.35" size you can ride pretty much anything with them and theyre fast! I rode some super-D courses with gnarly rock gardens on them with no issues. took second only to a former world cup champ in a race last year on a pair of them that had been used for a whole season. holy rollers wont hold mud - but dont really have knobs either - so would only use those on hard pack and groomed courses/trails. sometimes, ill run a small block in the rear and a nevegal up front (as do a lot of other riders i know) when its wet.

trying to get rid of the gold, the color scheme started with the bronze on the bar, Tyler from Twenty6 matched the lever and the stem up perfectly, (brakes aren't on atm) ended up with the NS pedals that were kinda gold, then the seat ended up being yellow, then we had a gold chain at the shop so I threw that on, but meh. Too much. Black primo seat, mismatched PC pedals black and orange, and a black hollow pin chain I'm stealing from my 20"
